The Congregation was founded
at Lovere in Italy in 1832 by Bartolomea Capitanio
who had her first companion Vincenza Gerosa. In
the last 170 years, the Sisters of Charity have
faithfully laboured to carve out newer kingdoms
for Christ...
Our charity is directed, through
the works of mercy:
** To the youth of every condition, preferring
among them the poorest, the abandoned and the
disoriented.
** To the sick, the aged and
those rejected by society.
** To those who have still no knowledge of the
Gospel.
** To keep the church’s sacred linen washed,
mended and ironed, with care and diligence.
** Education, healthcare,
socio-pastoral evangelization and promotion of
the whole person.
